Found

I turn off the lights
Don’t answer the phone
I act as if there’s no one home
The blinds are down
The TV’s off
I sit there stock still
As I hear a knock
I pause a moment
I hold my breath
Then again I hear the sound
The mahogany door pounded down
The bell ringing ominously
Then silence
Silence and my excruciating pain
Watching the knob turn
Slowly, Slowly turning
The creak of the door
The small ray of light
Striking my face

Dedication

This collection is fondly dedicated
To all of those who have helped me to make it
By being my friends
And simply loving me you were the ones
That inspired me
~~~~~
I wrote this as the dedication page for a book of poetry I put together my freshman year in my Creative Writing Class.
~To the world she is ordinary in truth she is extraordinary~
I have created this blog so my stories, poems, and songs may be viewed separate from my everyday rantings. In addition to my new writings I will post things I have previously written but have not yet shared with anyone. Feel free to make comments and suggestions and be sure to tell me your favorites!
Enjoy at your leisure
